After a busy couple weeks of doctors appointments all over the province, near death colds (ok, I may slightly overreact) and trying to reclaim the mess that was once my neat and tidy home, I am now back at ‘er with full force!
First, keep in mind that there is still another week and a bit to enter the .Name My Baby. contest for a chance to win a $50 Zimmermann Photography Gift Certificate.
Second, here is a quick shot of a possible future Olympian, in honour of our country’s awesome job so far at Vancouver 2010!
Last but absolutely not least, here are the sneak peeks little Miss Leighton’s mommy has been waiting so patiently for! I love this little peach and any of you who know me, will know that I just fall completely head over heals for the chubby babes!

My latest contest is getting more publicity than I ever could have imagined! I’ve been contacted about it by both the Red Deer Advocate and Stettler’s local radio station, Q14! Just to clarify:
- The contest is for FUN! I get to give away a $50 Gift Certificate for Zimmermann Photography, promote the blog and have an extended list of baby name ideas!
- The ‘guidelines’ are just to help us weed out the names we already know we don’t like. They aren’t “Rules” persay.
- The winner will be chosen by RANDOM draw on March 1. The contest is not a guarantee that we will give our child the winner’s name suggestion.

We’ve finally gotten our first three dimensional look at our latest little peanut yesterday and although I thought it would help in my search for the perfect name, ‘President’s Choice’ is looking more and more appealing.
So I’m looking for some help — I want your name ideas! Comment on this post with your brilliant baby boy names and, on March 1, I’ll do a random draw for a $50 Zimmermann Photography Gift Certificate!
Some information:
- of course our last name is Zimmermann, so the name will have to work with that — ie.) not a name ending in ‘x’ or ‘z’ and personally, I’d prefer not ending in an ‘n’
- we’d like a name that goes well with his brother’s name — Carter
- our favourite names start with a C, K, R or D and end with an ‘R’
- winning the random draw does not mean we will necessarily choose your name for our child
- yes, your own name is unique and fantastic but we are looking for a name that our child can call all his own

Happy 2010 to all the Zimmermann Photography blog followers! I hope everyone had a safe and happy holiday season!
Zimmermann Photography is going to be making some changes and I’ll let you in on those they arise. For now I’ll tell you to check the blog often! Aside from monthly specials and deals, I’ll be posting random contests for you to get the opportunity to win great stuff like free sessions and print/product credits! I received a fairly good response to the Giving is Awesome contest I held throughNovember and December (original post) and have now chosen a winner! I am so proud to say I am a part of the 366 photographers across North America who donated a total of over $390,000 worth of custom photography for the Giving is Awesome campaign and I plan to parcipate next holiday season as well! Thank you to everyone who nominated and showed their love and appreciation for another person this year — you are the angels that walk among us.
The winning family is a woman and her four year old from northern Alberta who, earlier in the year, had to make the terrifying and brave decision to leave their home and start over on their own. For personal reasons, we will not be mentioning their names or showing their faces at anytime on the website or blog but I will say that I am so excited to meet both this strong mother and her beautiful child later in the year!
I have a few sessions coming up over the next few weeks so stay tuned for sneak peeks and remember to keep your eye out for those fun contests!
