Yay! I blogged everyday this week! Don’t expect it in the coming weeks because I don’t usually have this much to say — okay, that anyone wants to hear.
Speaking of a lot of chatter (ha ha), this past Saturday I got together with a few fellow photographers from Red Deer and area for a mini-shoot, dinner and dancing! We had a fantastic time and hope to do it again soon!

Thursday evening I headed out to Halkirk to meet up with Erin & Kurt for a fun engagement session! We took a stroll around the quiet town and ended up finding a fabulous location that just happens to be in Kurt’s family and I can’t wait to go back there again to photograph them on their wedding day!
We were lucky to get some great shots in before the incoming storm threatened us too much and before we were eaten literally alive by the mosquitos that were out that night! Erin & Kurt, here’s your sneak peek (gallery to come soon) and I can’t wait for your wedding day in September!

I’ve just finished up the last of my 2010 graduates and have sent the gallery off to the last fabulous grad and her momma! This grad is such a stunning beauty that I couldn’t contain my awe! I think my husband was starting to get tired of hearing “oh my gosh, she’s so gorgeous!” and “you HAVE to look at this! look at her eyes! her hair! omg!”
I loved Jenna’s session so much that I decided to re-instate the ‘featured’ gallery on the website. It’s something I haven’t had for a while and there were just so many photos of Jenna that I wanted to share, I thought it was time to bring it back. On a completely different note (with no good way to lead into it); I’ve decided that ‘sneak peeks’ have gotten a wee bit out of control lately and I will be [trying] to go back to just one or two shots from each session! It WILL be difficult for me as I just love showing off my beautiful clients so much!

The Zimmermann Photography family just returned from our very first real family vacation as a foursome! We headed out to Vancouver for 5 days to visit friends & family and do some shopping! We had a fantastic time and wish we weren’t back to reality already. Check out some shots from our trip below — and yes, that is the Kim Cathers from Project Runway Canada… no big deal! LOL

I have been blessed with the most gorgeous grads this year! Monday I hung out with Jenna for the afternoon and had a ton of fun trying out new locations! She was such a blast to hang out with, so willing to try whatever I suggested and oh-so-beautiful! (Perhaps I’m a tad biased as a I’m a sucker for a red head but who cares! lol)
The ZP Family is off to Vancouver tomorrow and I’m not packed nor is my house in order. However, I just had to take a look at some of Jenna’s photos and get a sneak peak up. I’m SO glad I did — I’m super happy with the way the entire session turned out!

Yesterday was Part II of Brett’s Graduation Package — the Casual Session. (Check out the Formal Session)
I spent the afternoon hanging out with Brett and his gorgeous girlfriend, Courtney. I know Courtney and her family from years of participation in the performing arts and it was really great to see her again before she goes off to college!
I took these two to a few out-of-the-ordinary locations and they were so awesome about it! Take a look at these two good lookin’ graduates!

Last weekend was Stettler Grad and I had the pleasure of photographing two awesome graduates! In the morning I hung out with Brett and the afternoon was a date with Taylor!
Now, I’ve known Taylor for a very long time as they attend the same church as my family (I even babysat her & her brother once or twice!) but I hadn’t seen Taylor in a few years. I expected the sweet, blonde, 12 year old little girl that I remember to walk into our first location. When this tall, GORGEOUS, dark haired beauty said “Hey Melissa!” I was shocked!
I had so. much. fun with this session and found a new favourite location! I got a ton of great shots and had a hard time choosing between them so this is not a small sneak peek! lol
Thank you so much to both my grads and their families. Special thank you to Taylor’s mom who has been so patient waiting for these sneak peeks!

Graduation, May 29, 2010; SNOW! Not the greatest day for graduation photos! However, with a little creative and some fun, very willing clients, we got some fantastic shots!
My first graduate was a friend of the Zimmermann Photography family, Brett! In my pre-mom, pre-photographer job as a legal assistant, I worked with Brett’s mom and once upon a time ago, Brett’s dad worked with my husband, Kyle! It was fantastic to be a witness to the end of one journey for Brett and the beginning of another!

Yesterday I went location scouting and was blessed to have two wonderful models; sisters Kristi & Teri! If you’ve been an avid blog follower, you’ll recognize both these women from their family session last summer and now you’ll know why little Miss Leighton is such a doll… this is her mom and auntie! Good looks run in the family!

My latest contest is getting more publicity than I ever could have imagined! I’ve been contacted about it by both the Red Deer Advocate and Stettler’s local radio station, Q14! Just to clarify:
- The contest is for FUN! I get to give away a $50 Gift Certificate for Zimmermann Photography, promote the blog and have an extended list of baby name ideas!
- The ‘guidelines’ are just to help us weed out the names we already know we don’t like. They aren’t “Rules” persay.
- The winner will be chosen by RANDOM draw on March 1. The contest is not a guarantee that we will give our child the winner’s name suggestion.
